Join our dedicated team working to protect and manage shorebird populations across four stunning properties on Martha’s Vineyard: Cape Poge Wildlife Refuge, Leland Beach, Wasque Reservation, and Long Point Wildlife Refuge. 
Cape Poge, Leland, and Wasque form a breathtaking, ten-mile barrier beach system on Chappaquiddick, a small island just a quick ferry ride from the main island. Long Point Wildlife Refuge, located on the south shore of the main island, combines sweeping upland vistas with pristine coastal habitats. These idyllic and diverse beaches not only showcase some of the island’s most iconic landscapes but also serve as vital habitats for an array of threatened species. As a part of our team, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our nesting shorebirds and make a tangible difference in preserving these special ecosystems.
The Role: 
As the Shorebird Technician, you will monitor and manage several species of beach-nesting birds on the island of Martha’s Vineyard.
Specifically, you’ll:

<li>Perform daily monitoring, management, and data collection activities for all focal species including breeding piping plovers, American oystercatchers, black skimmers, and several species of tern. </li>
<li>Ensure data is accurate, organized, and up to date. </li>
<li>Install, maintain, and remove symbolic shorebird fencing and signage. </li>
<li>Assist with targeted predator control and monitoring efforts. </li>
<li>Help conduct post-breeding migratory shorebird surveys. </li>
<li>Assist with compiling and reporting productivity data for state piping plover, American oystercatcher, and tern. </li>
<li>Regularly communicate with the Coastal Ecologist, other shorebird technicians, and beach management staff to ensure the successful implementation of our shorebird protection program. </li>

We are seeking an enthusiastic Associate Synthetic Chemist to support the discovery of small molecules for next-generation 3D printing resins. You will work hands-on in the lab, executing syntheses of novel molecules, characterizing products, and exploring photochemical and photophysical structure–property relationships. This role is ideal for highly motivated early-career chemists who love synthesis and are excited to accelerate innovation through fast, iterative chemistry. You will be closely mentored by experienced synthetic chemists and will collaborate with analytical scientists and engineers developing our printing systems.
Responsibilities

Our Agroecology Initiative is a foundational body of work within The Trustees’ agricultural strategy and the overall organizational centering of climate resilience. The initiative transforms our agricultural purpose and leverages our farmland to boldly ask questions about emerging climate smart and agroecological practices. Our agroecology work bridges sustainable production and habitat management, seeking to reduce tradeoffs and maximize productivity and ecosystem function. Managed grasslands provide critical habitat for various native species, including threatened grassland nesting birds. As the Agroecology Technician, you will primarily support the important effort at our largest farm, Appleton Farms, in Ipswich, MA, which has supported some of the largest populations of grassland nesting birds in eastern Massachusetts. 
The Role: 
The Trustees seeks an Agroecology Technician for the summer season to assist with implementation and data collection for a series of field-based experiments including grazing impacts on grassland nesting birds, native willows for water quality, and multifunctional perennial hedgerows in field crops. Implementation work represents a substantial component of this role, you will carry out maintenance protocols within these projects, including planting, mulching, weeding, and string trimming. There will also be opportunities to participate in restoration work, vegetation surveys including invasive plants, and grassland bird monitoring across Appleton, Powisset and Chestnut Hill Farms. 
Specifically, you’ll:

<li>Support ongoing project implementation: planting, weeding, watering, pruning, etc. </li>

We have immediate openings for Computer Vision and Robotics Research Interns with the following qualification requirements:
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ph.D./M.S student in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or other related fields;
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Self-motivated and demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills;
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Familiar with at least one mainstream deep learning toolkit, e.g., Pytorch, Tensorflow;
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Familiar with Python, C++ and OpenCV;
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Proven track record of publications in the top computer vision, machine learning and robotics venues such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, ICRA, IROS, RSS, TPAMI, IJCV, T-RO, and IJRR &nbsp;is a plus;
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Experience with 6D pose estimation, 3D visual perception, video understanding, efficient neural reconstruction, and embodied AI is a plus;
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Excellent communication skills and team-work spirit.
