Mentors work very closely with the individual's family and the family oversees the daily activities and schedule.
Being a Mentor can make a difference in an individual's life. Here are some areas that families need/want: library time, volunteering, personal care, daily living skills, horseback riding, arts, grocery shopping, medication administration, fitness, employment support, social events, and behavioral support. What you do varies by individual and family. Most of our Mentor positions are part-time with varying schedules as determined by the family.

Some individuals require assistance with personal hygienic care, some require medicine administration -- experience with either is helpful though you will be trained as well. SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Residential Coordinator, the Assistant Residential Coordinator provides support to participants with the goal of maximizing their capacity for personal growth and community membership consistent with each participant's support plan, as well as ensuring effective staffing, scheduling, and operation of the program. In the absence of the Residential Coordinator, the Assistant Res. Coordinator supervises the program staff and provides leadership for all program staff. 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervision, Training and Administrative Responsibilities

<li>Participate in regular supervision with the Residential Coordinator. </li>
<li>Provide supervision as specified in the Safety Plan and in Individual Safety Assessments. </li>
<li>Provide supervision and direction to other staff and assume charge responsibilities in the absence of the Residential Coordinator. </li>

MAB Community Services is seeking experienced, energetic human service professionals to join our interdisciplinary Residential Management team. We have exciting opportunities available to oversee residential supports for adults with disabilities living in a group setting. This person centered environment is fast paced, challenging, and fun. Starting Salary is $58,656. After six months of service, Residential Coordinators are entered into the Performance Pay Program and are eligible for pay increases of up to 10% per year.
Summary: The Residential Coordinator supervises and provides leadership for the Direct Support Professionals and the assigned staff teams. The Coordinator oversees the operation of the home and ensures quality care and operations that support person centered planning for all individuals. MAB Community Services is seeking experienced, energetic human service professionals to join our interdisciplinary Residential Management team. We have exciting opportunities available to oversee residential supports for adults with disabilities living in a group setting. This person centered environment is fast paced, challenging, and fun. The ideal candidates will have experience supporting adults with disabilities to pursue their best life.
Starting Salary is $55,000. After six months of service, Residential Coordinators are entered into the Performance Pay Program and are eligible for pay increases of up to 10% per year.
Summary: The Residential Coordinator supervises and provides leadership for the Direct Support Professionals and the assigned staff teams. The Coordinator oversees the operation of the home and ensures quality care and operations that support person centered planning for all individuals. The Residential Coordinator also builds and maintains supportive relationships with community stakeholders.
Staff and Team Leadership: Provide clear and effective leadership and supervision to support and strengthen staff in their roles within the MAB community.
<ul>
<li>The staff team consists of an Assistant Coordinator and approximately 9-12 direct care staff.</li>
<li>Duties include scheduling, supervision, training, hiring, payroll and attendance.</li>
<li>Also run staff meetings, provide mentorship, guidance and crisis intervention when required.</li>
</ul>
Quality Assurance: Manage the house, vehicles and day to day program functions while ensuring that the medical, financial and clinical protocols are followed.
Oversee house staff training and implementation of all program policies including documentation, record keeping, communication, mandated reporting, financial management, medical care, and confidentiality.
Medical/Medications: Coordinate and advocate for health care services for participants.

<li>Supervise and coordinate medication administration practices by and with MAP staff. Ensure all medical appointments are made and kept, and that all the appropriate follow up happens including documentation and assessment for follow up medical care.</li>
<li>Obtain Medication Administration Certification and dispense medication (MAP).</li>
