Qualifications:

<li>Technical Skills: Basic understanding of G-code and M-code programming, and the ability to read blueprints with GD&amp;T capabilities.</li>
<li>Precision Measuring: Proficient in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, fixtures, and gauges.</li>
<li>Software Skills: SolidWorks/CAMWorks experience preferred but not necessary.</li>
<li>Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team environment and maintain professionalism at all times.</li>

Key Responsibilities:
Sales &amp; Store Support

<li>Help new contractors learn how to do the job properly by walking them through their first installation.</li>
<li>Inspect job sites based on customer feedback and work to fix any issues that come up, ensuring customers are satisfied.</li>
<li>Review complaints and approve small fixes; for larger issues, you’ll work with the VP to resolve them.</li>
<li>Ensure contractors follow environmental safety rules and have necessary certifications, such as Lead Safe Certification.</li>
<li>Take photos and videos during job site visits to document issues and share findings with the team.</li>
<li>Help with inventory checks and workroom meetings to keep everything running smoothly.</li>
</ul>
Additional Duties and Requirements:

<li>Be available to work two Saturdays a month from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM at stores.</li>
<li>You may need to be on-call after hours.</li>

Judd Wire Inc., a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for 1stshift Entry Level Machine Operator- Sparkerin our Turners Falls, MA manufacturing facility.&nbsp; Individuals will be responsible for a variety of duties including: Performing required operations connected with measuring, inspecting, testing and re-spooling wire and cable in preparation for shipping or its next operation. Targeted job training provided for all skill levels starting on day 1 and throughout your career at Judd Wire.
Minimum Hourly Rate: $19.28/hour 
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Work from factory orders, special customer requirements and verbal instructions to evaluate and meet specifications with regard to conductor size, amount of insulation over diameter, sparking voltage, type of repairs allowed (if any), number of pieces per reel, type of reel for put-up, sparking sequence, number of conductors, multiple lengths, amount of order.&nbsp; </li>
<li>Set up wire or cable on sparking machine, selects proper counter eyes, applies prescribed sparking voltage, maintains proper traverse while operating machine at fastest allowable speed; set up voltage tester, test wire and small cables at prescribed voltage, check continuity tester to insure there are no breaks or shorts</li>
<li>Visually examine and inspect wire/cables as they are pulled through the machine to detect sparking (defects).&nbsp; Identify areas of defective insulation, cut out defective piece</li>
<li>Use micrometer to check conductor for proper size, check appearance of insulation and centering of copper wire in the insulation; tag reel in accordance with specifications, direct to next operation</li>
<li>Detect and report any unusual conditions, defective materials or other malfunctions</li>
<li>Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and proper condition.&nbsp; Observe safety regulations</li>
<li>Ability &amp; willingness to cross-train on other machines throughout the plant </li>
<li>Ability to work a flexible schedule</li>
</ul>
&nbsp;Qualifications
<ul>
<li>High School diploma or GED</li>
<li>Knowledge of ordinary arithmetic including decimals, fractions, and simple use of specification together with use of adjustable measuring instruments. </li>
