Qualifications:

<li>BS in Electrical Engineering (MS in Electrical Engineering preferred)</li>
<li>Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred</li>
<li>Minimum of 10 years' experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on infrastructure projects</li>

Job Description
The Building Electrical Group is responsible for all building electrical systems including lighting, fire protection and low voltage for our design build, industrial projects. We design and build food and beverage production facilities. Our building electrical team is involved with designing the electrical systems, calculating power loads, determining, and selecting equipment sizes, and vetting and selecting suitable vendors, suppliers, and sub-contractors. The professional will have technical responsibility for scoping, performing, and delivering multiple concurrent project assignments. His/her specific responsibilities will include, but not limited to: 
Responsibilities 
<ul>
<li>Design electrical systems for building power, i.e. normal, emergency, and standby power distribution systems for 208v, 480v, and medium voltage for industrial facilities. </li>
<li>Document all necessary calculations for the design such as short circuit, selective coordination, arc flash, generator sizing, steady state and transient voltage drops, load calculations, conductor sizing, raceway fills, etc. </li>
<li>Maintain project document organization </li>
<li>Manage time and meet commitments </li>
<li>Understand Ohms Law, AC/DC, Electric and magnetic fields </li>
<li>Understand power system theory – 3-phase vector math, power factor, symmetrical components </li>
<li>Understand capacitors, inductors, and resonance </li>

<li>Estimate weights of main tray/trapezes and equipment needing support </li>
<li>Assist in managing electrical bid process for clients, observing construction, and assisting with startup. </li>
<li>Project planning and feasibility studies. </li>
<li>Actively participate in and support department-wide standard development, updates, and maintenance. </li>

About You
<ul>
<li>Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field. </li>
<li>Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Access). </li>
<li>Familiarity with three phase power, the National Electric Code, wireless radio systems, fire and security systems, Fiber or LAN cabling is a plus. </li>
<li>Familiarity with designing lighting, fire alarm systems, and low voltage systems for building spaces, including lighting calculations, and coordinating fixture placement with trades. </li>
<li>GPA: 3.0 or above </li>
<li>Travel to customer project sites for fieldwork, review, audit, and meetings, estimated 25%.</li>
