PathWays has been providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families in Sullivan and Lower Grafton Counties in NH for over 50 years and we provide services starting at age 0 through adulthood. Our Family-Centered Early Support and Services (FCESS) group focuses on little ones from 0 to 3 years of age. Because we are a human services organization, our positions are year-round, unlike a school district in most cases. While intake and evaluations are conducted mainly at our Claremont office, most of the work for the FCESS team is performed at the family's home and mileage is reimbursable. This position is the only one that has the requirement of playing on the floor with kids!
In the FCESS program, the Early Childhood Educator provides developmental services for children under the age of three (3). Your responsibilities will include assessments of delays in areas such as motor, communication, cognition, social/emotional, and self-help skills as well as providing direct support and service coordination for children and their families. In this role, you will maintain direct service for a designated number of children, writing and keeping current case notes and files as well as participate in weekly team meetings and all scheduled in-service transdisciplinary meetings. You will participate in a transdisciplinary assessment and evaluation of designated children using a designated assessment tool and act as the liaison between children, families, and local community agencies to provide support for families. You will coordinate 6-month reviews, annual evaluations, and new IFSPs for all assigned children. You will secure all necessary releases and consents as well as updated medical information and family changes that may affect a child's development.
Full-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt, Reports to FCESS Director, Hybrid work is a built-in part of the job. This position may work from our Claremont office or Lebanon office with a weekly meeting in Claremont.

As a High School Physics Teacher
 
You believe in creating an educational experience where students are able to see themselves reflected in the content of your class.
 
Essential Job Functions:
<ul>
<li>Hours for this position are 7:15 am- 4:15 pm.</li>
<li>Plan for and teach 4 sections per day. This also includes responding to the individual needs of students by holding regular office hours, at least once a week, and planning for small group instruction (SGI) blocks, held during the school day.</li>
<li>Collaborate with co-teachers, SpEd/ELL specialists, and other specialists to deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction to meet the individual needs of students, including students with special needs and English Language Learners</li>
<li>Provide targeted feedback on student work to drive student engagement. Anchor feedback system in equitable grading practices that focus on what students know and have learned, and that emphasize practice and revision.</li>
<li>Designing, implementing, or internalizing standards-aligned curriculum and materials that are data-informed and culturally affirming of our students.</li>
<li>Communicate with students, families, and school leaders around academic and behavioral progress via phone calls, messages on DeansList and family conferences.</li>
<li>Build relationships with our students and support their character development through our advisory model, homeroom structures, ethics focus and other whole-school moments.</li>
<li>Attend key whole-school school events throughout the year (i.e family conferences, back to school nights).</li>
<li>Attend and participate in weekly staff professional development via One Team Meetings, Department Meetings, Grade Level Meetings, and Instructional Team Meetings.</li>
<li>Uphold school and grade level systems and structures with fidelity.</li>
<li>Partner with team members, students, and families, to actively uproot racism and inequality in our community.</li>
<li>Engage with, and attend, regular coaching meetings; implement feedback with fidelity.</li>
<li>Establish and maintain an orderly and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning. Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure student engagement and discipline.</li>
<li>Attend occasional after-school events to foster community engagement.</li>
<li>Advisor-Mentor 8-15 students, facilitating advisory meetings and personal growth activities, Facilitate Circle Weekly.</li>
<li>Facilitate one intervention block.</li>
<li>Facilitate homeroom once a day.</li>
</ul>
 
Qualifications include:
 
Experience:
<ul>
<li>Previous teaching experience is preferred, in a charter school setting is a plus. Experience with diverse student populations and inclusive education practices is a plus.</li>
</ul>
Education, Certifications, and Licensure:
<ul>
<li>Education: A bachelors degree in education or a related field is required. Masters degree preferred.</li>
<li>Certification: Valid Massachusetts teaching license in the appropriate subject area.
<ul>
<li>A passing score on the Communications &amp; Literacy MTEL, as well as a MTEL in the content area(s) they teach within their first year of employment at Boston Prep</li>
<li>An SEI Endorsement (core academic and special education teachers only) as defined by DESE, within their first year of employment at Boston Prep</li>

Skills and Experience Requirements:

<li>This position requires a minimum initial commitment of about 3 hours per week for each assigned class.</li>
<li>Each course meets once per week for 1 hour 45 minutes. </li>

<li>Candidates must be located in Lexington/Waltham, MA or the greater area and must be able to commute to our campus.</li>
