Job Description

Job DescriptionStep into a vital role as a Licensed Practical Nurse specializing in Long-Term Care, and seize a rewarding assignment that begins on 12/30/2025 in South Burlington, Vermont. This is more than a job—it’s a chance to shape daily life for residents who rely on skilled, compassionate hands, steady judgment, and genuine warmth. You’ll partner with a diverse, patient-centered team to deliver high-quality care, support families during challenging moments, and mentor caregivers who share your commitment to excellence. In this picturesque corner of New England, every shift offers the opportunity to witness small victories that brighten the everyday, from a resident’s improved comfort to a family’s sense of reassurance. The work speaks to your expertise and your heart, and it comes with a setting that invites you to thrive—lush trails, vibrant local culture, and a community that values balance as much as achievement.

South Burlington combines the charm of a walkable, lakeside community with convenient access to Burlington’s amenities, arts scene, and dining. Here you’ll enjoy clean, safe neighborhoods, excellent schools, and the recreational perks that Vermont is known for—seasonal outdoor adventures, scenic drives, and easy access to Lake Champlain. The location offers a supportive clinical network with a welcoming spirit, where you’ll collaborate with physicians, RNs, therapists, and social work professionals who share your dedication to long-term wellness. For nurses who like to grow their horizons, this role also opens doors to opportunities across the United States within our travel program, exposing you to varied populations, care models, and settings that will refine your clinical judgment and expand your professional portfolio. In Vermont, you’ll find a stable, family-friendly environment that honors work-life balance while still providing meaningful, mission-driven practice. And for those who value education, we provide pathways to expand your credentials and leadership skills, all while you enjoy the state’s genuine warmth and natural beauty.

In this role, your day-to-day responsibilities will center on compassionate, patient-focused care tailored to long-term residents. You will administer medications and treatments under physician orders, monitor vital signs, and document changes accurately to inform the multidisciplinary team. You’ll assist with activities of daily living, mobility, and personal cares, while employing best practices for safety, fall prevention, and infection control. You’ll participate in care planning, collaborate with registered nurses and other clinicians, and communicate clearly with residents and families to set expectations and explain care decisions. You’ll identify and report changes in condition, participate in goal setting, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives that elevate resident well-being. The role also invites growth: you can pursue specialty certifications in geriatrics, wound care, pain management, or palliative care, and you may take on mentoring or leadership responsibilities as you gain experience. Our program supports you with ongoing training, evidence-based protocols, and a culture of continuous learning. You’ll benefit from competitive compensation with a weekly pay range of $1,883 to $1,970, as well as housing assistance, potential sign-on or performance bonuses, and opportunities to extend contracts beyond initial terms. With guaranteed 40 hours per week, you’ll enjoy predictable scheduling that helps you plan your personal life while maintaining clinical impact. We also provide robust 24/7 support for traveling clinicians, ensuring you have seamless assistance, access to resources, and responsive coordination from day one through every assignment. You can expect comprehensive onboarding, a dedicated support team, and strong partnerships with housing and transportation vendors to streamline your transition to South Burlington.

Our company is built on a foundation of empowerment, respect, and opportunity. We are committed to helping our staff advance in meaningful ways, recognizing the unique contributions you bring, and fostering a supportive work environment where open communication and mentorship are standard practice. You’ll find a culture that values clinical excellence and personal growth alike, with leadership that listens, emphasizes safety, and prioritizes work-life harmony. Professional development is not just encouraged; it is embedded in our approach to staffing, with resources and pathways designed to help you elevate your practice, expand your skill set, and move toward goals you define for your career in long-term care.

If you’re ready to apply your expertise to truly make a difference while experiencing Vermont’s natural beauty and a supportive, growth-oriented workplace, we invite you to take the next step. This is more than a contract—it’s a doorway to impact, learning, and lasting professional relationships. Submit your application to join a team that values your dedication and invests in your future. Please indicate your availability to begin on 12/30/2025, your interest in contract duration in weeks, and your preferences for growth opportunities. Note: Hours and pay ranges are estimates and may vary; final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.
