Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical support to customers, troubleshooting issues and showcasing product differentiation for TPU applications.
- Lead customer trials to validate new products, helping secure sales and drive business growth.
- Plan and execute laboratory projects to optimize existing products and develop new applications, with a focus on film extrusion.
- Mentor junior technical associates, preparing for future leadership roles.
- Stay at the forefront of TPU and competitor products, attending industry events to enhance team expertise.
- Ensure strict adherence to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) guidelines during trials and lab work.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Plastic Engineering, Polymers, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Material Science.
- 5+ years of technical experience in TPU or thermoplastics elastomers, with hands-on expertise in film extrusion (preferred) or injection molding.
- 5+ years in customer-facing technical roles, skilled at engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% (primarily Northeast/Midwest, with occasional international trips).
- Strong analytical skills, with knowledge of material properties (e.g., rheology, thermal properties).
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to mentor junior team members.
- Must have unrestricted U.S. work authorization.
Preferred Experience
- Hands-on film extrusion expertise.
- Prior mentorship or managerial experience.
