What We're Looking For:
We are seeking a versatile Senior BIM Technician in steel, concrete, and precast building design. The ideal candidate will efficiently prepare design drawings in Revit into buildable drawings, demonstrate proficiency in Revit, and understand how buildings come together, being responsible for modeling from foundations through the superstructure. They should be able to draw from schematic design to construction documents, self-govern their workload, and meet deadlines without requiring extensive oversight. Additionally, they should exhibit strong problem-solving skills, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to various project requirements. Effective communication with team members is also essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with structural engineers and project managers.
· Prepare project drawings in Autodesk Revit.
Communicate with architects, other engineering disciplines, vendors, and consultants throughout the design phases of projects.
Demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines.
Participate as a team member, contributing ideas and solutions.
Work independently when necessary and manage your own workload.
Develop 3D models in Revit.
Education and Other Requirements:
5 years of drafting experience minimum, but other highly qualified individuals will also be considered.
Proficiency with Revit.
· Link and coordinate with Revit and AutoCAD models from other disciplines.
· Be familiar with AutoCAD and have some proficiency with the program for occasional projects or interacting with existing documents.
Vocational school certificate or associate degree is a plus but not required if experienced.
Strong understanding of building construction techniques and methods.
Excellent computer skills.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Must be able to work in a small team environment.
