Position Summary
Seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a daytime contract assignment. The technologist will perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures under the direction of the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor, Radiation Safety Officer, and Radiologists, while ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapeutic procedures using radionuclides
- Prepare, administer, and monitor radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with safety protocols
- Coordinate and schedule routine and emergency patient procedures
- Obtain and review relevant patient clinical history when needed
- Adjust technical factors to optimize image quality
- Process, enhance, and archive images using computer imaging systems
- Monitor for radioactive spills or leaks and notify Radiation Safety Officer as required
- Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety and infection control guidelines
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
OR AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology with Nuclear Medicine training - MIRT certification required
- 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety and imaging protocols
