Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time opportunity is available for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) licensed in Massachusetts to support preschool and kindergarten classrooms within an elementary school setting. This contract position, running from ASAP through June, involves working with children aged 3 to 6 years old in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) programs across public schools and community partner locations.
The role is based in Somerville, MA, with typical hours from 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM, totaling approximately 35 hours per week. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in applied behavior analysis and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including school psychologists and behavior specialists to design and implement individualized behavior intervention plans.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments and developing evidence-based behavior strategies tailored to each students needs
- Providing direct support and coaching to classroom staff and families
- Collecting and analyzing data to monitor progress and adjust interventions as necessary
- Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and community partners to enhance educational and developmental outcomes
Qualifications and experience sought:
- Valid Massachusetts BCBA license required
- Experience working with young children (ages 3-6) in educational or clinical settings, particularly within ASD programs
- Strong skills in behavioral assessment, intervention development, and data-driven decision making
- Effective communication and teamwork capabilities within diverse and inclusive communities
