Job Description
Medical Professionals is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager/Pharmacist-in-Charge(PIC) to oversee daily pharmacy operations for an independently owned infusion pharmacy with decades of experience supporting patients on specialty medication. This role is responsible for regulatory compliance, leadership of clinical and technical staff, and ensuring safe, effective specialty medication management.

License(s)Needed: Massachusetts Pharmacist License.
- Preferred: Connecticut Pharmacist License (or willingness to obtain it ASAP)
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge and ensure compliance with all federal and state pharmacy regulations
- Review and verify prescriptions; oversee specialty and infusion drug therapy management
- Lead, train, and supervise pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
- Collaborate with intake, nursing, reimbursement, and quality teams to support patient care
- Support staffing, workflow optimization, and performance improvement initiatives
- Provide patient counseling and act as an escalation point for clinical issues
- Comply with the regulatory guidelines of the State Board of Pharmacy, FDA, DEA, Department of Health & Human Services, Medicare, ACHC, URAC and OSHA
- Support prescription management and documentation in accordance with BioMatrix established processes and systems guidelines and requirements while following all legal, regulatory, and state regulations including HIPAA
Required Qualifications
- Graduate with a BS or Doctorate of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy required
- Active, unrestricted Massachusetts Pharmacist license
- Demonstrated leadership experience in pharmacy operations
- Strong knowledge and understanding of specialty therapies, the steps needed to qualify a patient for such therapy, and the ability to lead team members through these steps for patient support
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Experience with sterile compounding and USP 797 standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Connecticut Pharmacist license or willingness to obtain
- 3+ years of experience in specialty, infusion, hospital, or retail pharmacy
- Prior experience managing pharmacy teams
- Familiarity with CareTend systems and payer requirements
Location: Foxborough, MA (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM ET
Salary Range: $135,000 - $188,000 annually (DOE)
