What You’ll Do

As a Claim Litigation Coordinator, you'll provide essential support to in-house defense counsel and regional claim staff, helping prepare for legal proceedings at state agencies. You'll ensure attorneys have the documentation they need to effectively defend and resolve cases, while also maintaining litigation reports and updates from state agencies. This position is hybrid/remote after initial training period.

  • Assign legal proceedings to in-house regional claim staff, in-house defense counsel, and outside defense firms based on input from claim adjusters and/or supervisors.
  • Organize and share initial claim files and updates with defense attorneys.
  • Log proceedings and actions into the claim system.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly Excel litigation reports.
  • Bundle documents via SharePoint upon request.
  • Review and submit monthly DIA referral invoices; manage appeal fees and follow-ups.
  • Administer company password changes for the MA Department of Industrial Accidents portal.
  • Update and support the Legal X billing system for defense firms.
  • Provide administrative support to In-house defense counsel, including but not limited to:
    • Submitting conference order appeals and arranging fee payments.
    • Preparing subpoenas and rescheduling proceedings upon request.
    • Handling child support lien inquiries and appeal fee reimbursements as needed.
    • Maintaining internal calendars of scheduled proceedings.

What You Bring

  • Associate’s degree in paralegal studies, or a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the legal profession.
  • Proficiency working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize work and work independently.
  • Experience in the insurance industry is desirable.
