Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to nursing staff and ensure the comfort and well-being of patients in a hospital or inpatient setting. This role requires a strong understanding of patient care, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare environment.

Duties:

  • Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.

  • Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes in patient conditions to the nursing staff.

  • Provide basic medical care such as medication administration and phlebotomy as needed.

  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care.

  • Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection during procedures.

  • Lift and transfer patients safely, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.

  • Support children with special needs or medical conditions, demonstrating patience and understanding.

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

  • Ensure that all Durable Medical Equipment (DME) is properly utilized and maintained.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Nursing Assistant training program preferred.

  • Previous experience in a hospital or inpatient setting is highly desirable.

  • Knowledge of anatomy and basic medical terminology is beneficial.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.

  • Ability to lift heavy loads safely and assist patients with mobility challenges.

  • Experience working with children in a healthcare setting is a plus.

  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in medication administration and phlebotomy techniques.
