Position Summary

The Clinical Coordinator supports the team by overseeing clinical compliance, regulatory readiness, and daily clinical flow. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant clinical operations by upholding state and federal standards, internal protocols, and surgeon expectations. The Clinical Coordinator works closely with the Operations Manager and serves as the practice’s primary resource for compliance, infection control, and quality assurance.


Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure full compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and internal protocols.

• Perform monthly clinical audits including sterilization logs, radiology quality assurance, crash cart checks, and emergency equipment readiness.

• Maintain detailed documentation for inspections and regulatory requirements.

• Oversee SDS logs, infection control procedures, and ensure all clinical staff follow safety and surgical standards.

• Conduct or coordinate mandatory staff training related to compliance, safety, and clinical protocols.

Clinical Flow & Patient Coordination

• Support daily clinic flow to ensure efficient schedules, timely patient movement, and optimal surgical start times.

• Identify and resolve workflow issues proactively to maintain smooth clinical operations.

• Ensure operatories are fully stocked, prepared, and compliant with surgical setup standards.

• Partner with surgeons and assistants to anticipate procedural needs and maintain a high-quality patient experience.

• Serve as the first point of contact for clinical questions, coordination issues, or workflow concerns.

Clinical Training & Support

• Assist with the onboarding and clinical training of new assistants, including radiology, sterilization, anesthesia protocols, and OMS competencies.

• Identify skill gaps and collaborate with Operations Manager on coaching, development, and corrective actions.

• Reinforce clinical expectations and maintain consistency across all locations.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records for audit logs, compliance checks, safety documentation, and training history.

• Submit weekly reports to the Operations Manager detailing compliance status, clinical issues, improvements, and observations.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with the Operations Manager to implement new workflows, training initiatives, and policy changes.

• Communicate regularly with surgeons to ensure clinical standards and preferences are being met.

• Support a positive, accountable, and collaborative clinical culture.


Required Qualifications

• Massachusetts Dental Assistant License (LDA)

• CPR/BLS Certification

• Massachusetts Radiology Certification

• 2–3 years of clinical experience in oral surgery or dental surgical settings

• Strong knowledge of oral surgery workflows, sterilization, anesthesia assistance, and infection control

• Familiarity with OSHA, HIPAA, and dental board regulations Required

• DAANCE Certification

• Prior leadership, clinical training, or compliance experience

• Ability to travel with Surgeon if needed.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Pay: $33.00 per hour
