Job Description
Join a dynamic team that specializes in crafting various paper products for diverse industries, including cigarette box paper, beer bottle labels, and food labels. As a General Production Worker, you will be involved in the manufacturing process which includes coating and slitting. You will be part of a three-person team operating machines to ensure the paper is metalized, coated, and cut to size for different products. This role offers a chance to engage in shadowing and assisting machine operators, providing valuable learning opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Operate machines in coating or slitting as part of a three-person team.
- Assist and shadow machine operators during your contract period.
- Utilize computer literacy to manage computerized controls.
- Apply mechanical inclination to troubleshoot and make minor adjustments during production.
- Participate in forklift training if you do not already have experience.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 1 year recent machine operating experience, ideally 2 years.
- Mechanically inclined with troubleshooting abilities.
- Computer literate to manage computerized controls.
- Experience with coating machines, slitter machines, and overhead cranes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Machine troubleshooting capabilities are preferred.
- Forklift experience is preferred but not required.
- Prior experience in a coating or slitting company is desirable.

Work Environment
The company operates on a shift system and is looking to add a fourth shift. Current shifts are D1: Sun, Mon, Tue, every other Wed 7am-7pm; D2: every other Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat 7am-7pm; N1: Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed 7pm-7am. Employees on night shifts receive a 1.25 shift differential once permanent. Throughout the 12-hour shifts, workers receive two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch, all paid.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, Massachusetts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
