Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Ski Store Manager to oversee daily operations, drive sales, and lead our team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a solid understanding of ski gear, tuning, and fitting. A love for the winter season and outdoor adventure is a plus—our store thrives on the energy of the slopes.
Key Responsibilities:
Store Operations:

Manage daily store activities, including opening/closing procedures, inventory control, and scheduling.

Ensure the store is clean, organized, and stocked with the latest ski gear and seasonal apparel.

Monitor and meet sales goals and performance metrics.
Team Leadership:

Recruit, train, and supervise store staff who share a passion for skiing.

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
Customer Service:

Provide expert advice on equipment selection, proper fitting, tuning, and rentals.

Help customers find exactly what they need for their next mountain adventure.

Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations professionally and efficiently.
Inventory and Sales:

Manage inventory levels, place orders, and reduce shrinkage.

Implement and oversee in-store promotions, seasonal events, and marketing initiatives.

Identify new sales opportunities and recommend products based on customer needs.
Qualifications:

Previous experience in retail management, preferably in a ski shop or sporting goods environment.

Strong knowledge of ski equipment, apparel, and tuning.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced, seasonal business.

Proficient in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business or management is a plus.
