Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Ski Store Manager to oversee daily operations, drive sales, and lead our team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a solid understanding of ski gear, tuning, and fitting. A love for the winter season and outdoor adventure is a plus—our store thrives on the energy of the slopes.

Key Responsibilities:

Store Operations:

  • Manage daily store activities, including opening/closing procedures, inventory control, and scheduling.

  • Ensure the store is clean, organized, and stocked with the latest ski gear and seasonal apparel.

  • Monitor and meet sales goals and performance metrics.

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise store staff who share a passion for skiing.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

  • Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.

Customer Service:

  • Provide expert advice on equipment selection, proper fitting, tuning, and rentals.

  • Help customers find exactly what they need for their next mountain adventure.

  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations professionally and efficiently.

Inventory and Sales:

  • Manage inventory levels, place orders, and reduce shrinkage.

  • Implement and oversee in-store promotions, seasonal events, and marketing initiatives.

  • Identify new sales opportunities and recommend products based on customer needs.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in retail management, preferably in a ski shop or sporting goods environment.

  • Strong knowledge of ski equipment, apparel, and tuning.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced, seasonal business.

  • Proficient in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business or management is a plus.
