Now Hiring: Lead Engineer – Mechanical & Civil Systems
Location: Worcestor, MA (Hybrid, with occasional travel. Will assist with relocation)
Employment Type: Full-time

We’re looking for a highly motivated Lead Engineer to manage and deliver small to mid-sized technical projects with a focus on mechanical and civil engineering systems. In this role, you'll take ownership of engineering analysis, design modifications, and failure investigations, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and clients. What You’ll Do:

  • Perform engineering calculations and root cause analysis using client-provided data

  • Develop and refine plant design changes ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards

  • Lead onsite implementation of system modifications and support field walkdowns

  • Evaluate pressure vessel and piping failures and recommend improvements

  • Analyze degradation mechanisms such as Flow-Accelerated Corrosion and MIC

  • Support geometry and structural evaluations of piping and supports

  • Communicate directly with clients and stakeholders, ensuring timely response to technical requests

  • Lead small engineering teams and contribute to successful project delivery

✅ What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (MS or MBA is a plus)

  • Project management experience leading engineering teams (≤5 engineers) for power generation projects

  • PE license in any state (or PEng in Canada) required

  • Experience with FEA tools and stress analysis techniques

  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (ASME, AISC, etc.)

  • Experience with root cause and metallurgical failure analysis

  • Utility or field experience with complex mechanical systems (BWR/PWR experience a plus)

  • Proficient with tools like AutoCAD, AutoPIPE, and Microsoft Office

  • Strong communication, report writing, and client-facing skills

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for field assignments
