Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An Early Childhood School in Boston, MA is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to provide specialized support to a PreK caseload. This contract position is set to begin as soon as possible and runs through the current school year (CSY), offering an exciting opportunity to work in an engaging educational environment focused on early childhood development.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess motor development and sensory processing in PreK students
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy intervention plans tailored to young childrens needs
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Document and track therapy sessions and student outcomes in compliance with school and state regulations
- Participate in team meetings and parent consultations to provide updates on student progress
- Utilize play-based and developmentally appropriate therapeutic techniques to encourage participation and skill building
Qualifications:
- Licensed and certified Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings
- Background working with early childhood populations preferred, specifically PreK students
- Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy interventions and school regulations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators and families
- Ability to manage a full-time caseload and maintain detailed documentation
