Job Description:The Field Service Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, servicing, repairing, and maintaining Flygt submersible pumps, controls, and support equipment safely and efficiently. This position provides opportunities for growth and learning in a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities:• Disassemble, diagnose, repair, and service Flygt pump equipment.• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and pump systems using computerized diagnostic tools.• Conduct electrical repairs for control equipment, including electric motors, VFDs, flowmeters, and PLCs.• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and diagnose/report any damage.• Use computer technology for diagnostic checks.• Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation and quality.• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to EHS&S guidelines, policies, and best practices.• Operate a service truck and respond to customer repair calls as needed.• Participate in Watermark volunteer activities and other related duties as assigned.
Work Environment:This role primarily takes place outdoors, requiring exposure to extreme temperatures and machinery. Travel of up to 75% is expected, including occasional overnight stays and overtime.
Physical Demands:• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more.• Ability to walk, sit, and stand for 8 hours or more.
Qualifications:• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for mechanical and electrical systems.• Experience with pump systems, control equipment, and computerized diagnostic tools is preferred.• Commitment to maintaining safety standards and following operational guidelines.• Ability to adapt to outdoor work conditions and travel requirements.
