Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A dedicated nursing professional is needed to provide essential health support in a middle school setting in Derry, NH, from the current school year through June 15, 2026. This contract position involves working closely with a 1:1 male student managing Type I Diabetes, requiring specialized care and consistent supervision.
Key Qualifications:
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with school nursing experience
- LPN candidates must have specific training and experience managing Type I Diabetes and will work under the direct supervision of an RN on-site
- Comfortable with bus riding duties, as transportation support is required daily
- Ability to work a full-time schedule: Monday through Friday, approximately 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM, including bus riding time and adherence to school hours from 7:30 AM to 2:20 PM
- Availability to begin immediately and commit through June 15, 2026
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized nursing care and diabetes management to a student in a middle school environment
- Collaborate effectively with supervising RN and school staff to ensure a comprehensive approach to student health and safety
- Manage daily medical needs while accompanying the student on school transportation
- Document care and communicate with family and healthcare providers as needed
