Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment used in an outdoor environment. This position ensures all equipment operates safely and efficiently in compliance with company policies and Massachusetts state regulations.

Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on heavy equipment (e.g., loaders, excavators, bulldozers, forklifts, trucks).

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and safety inspections.

Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed.

Operate equipment to test functionality and verify repairs.

Adhere to all OSHA, Massachusetts Department of Labor Standards, and company safety policies and procedures.

Respond to emergency repair requests and troubleshoot breakdowns during assigned shift.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, and other team members.

Participate in ongoing training and development as required.

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational training preferred.

Minimum 2 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or similar role.

Valid Massachusetts driver’s license

Proficient in reading equipment manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening, as required by Massachusetts law.
