Job Description

Job DescriptionLet’s Get Technical—And Practical

If you thrive on variety and precision, Double E Group wants to meet you. We’re a global leader in engineered solutions for web and material handling and converting across the paper, tissue, film, and foil sectors. In our Machining/Manufacturing/Assembly facility, you’ll partner with teammates in manual machining, saw cutting, assembly, and service to deliver premium parts.

Is This You?

  • Do you excel in low-volume, high-mix CNC turning with 5+ changeovers a day?
  • Can you plan jobs to minimize setup time and keep the workflow moving?
  • Are you confident setting up machines and performing a rigorous first-piece inspection?
  • Do you communicate clearly with Supervisors and Application Engineering/Programming to drive process improvements?

What You’ll Tackle

  • Operate CNC equipment in a low-volume, high-mix environment (5+ daily changeovers).
  • Analyze, group, and schedule jobs to reduce setup time and maximize throughput.
  • Set up machines efficiently; mount, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and parts with precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
  • Conduct first-piece inspections using vernier calipers, micrometers, and drop dial indicators.
  • Stop machines to remove finished pieces or adjust tooling/setup/piece placement per machining sequences.
  • Transfer commands from servers to CNC modules via computer network links.
  • Monitor lubrication and cooling during operations.
  • Review program specifications/blueprints to set machine operations and sequencing, finished dimensions, and numerical control sequences.
  • Handle other duties as assigned.

Must-Haves

  • Some CNC programming experience.
  • Average math capabilities (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Ability to read and understand instructions; straightforward oral communication skills.
  • Physically able to lift, push, pull, and position components up to 50 lbs and stand an entire 8 to 10-hour shift.
  • Reliable team player.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Minimum three years’ machine shop experience, or one year with vocational school graduation.
  • Familiarity with basic machining practices and materials; general mechanical knowledge.

Your Impact

Your attention to detail and collaborative mindset will keep our workcells running smoothly and help us continually refine processes for safety, quality, and delivery.
