PCB Assembly Rework Specialist is responsible for rework of surface mount and thru-hole components in support of production. Assisting manufacturing department in assembly at all product levels is required.
Requirements:
• Knowledge of IPC workmanship standards and/or certification in soldering preferred. IPC training and certification can be completed on site.
• Proficiency in advanced rework BGA rework stations, soldering iron, hot-air machines and microscopes. Training will be provided for specific rework equipment onsite.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and documentation such as BOMs, assembly drawings, engineering changes orders, quality process documents, and simple schematics.
• Understanding of electronic component types and packaging (i.e. BGA, SOICS, RES/CAP packages etc.).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and interact effectively with others in the workplace.
• Ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
• General computer skills.
• Additional duties as assigned
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in electro-mechanical assembly
• Minimum 5 years of current experience in SMT and thru-hole soldering.
• Proficiency in reading and writing in English is essential for understanding technical documents, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
Physical Requirements:
• Manual dexterity to use soldering and related tools.
• Sitting and standing for long hours.
• Must be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds.
Skills Assessment Requirement:
• Candidates will be given extensive soldering tests to establish their soldering skills.
