Pharmacy Technician Compensation
- The pay for this position is $17.38 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Pharmacy Technician Highlights
- Location: Boston, MA 02215
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, rotating shifts between 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Closed weekends and national holidays
- This position is onsite and full-time
- This is a contract position with potential to convert to a permanent role based on performance, attendance, and business needs
Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls, complete refill requests, and coordinate medication deliveries for patients
- Process, fill, and ring out prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Work closely with pharmacists to assist with prior authorizations, copay assistance, and benefits verification
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, providers, and internal partners
- Maintain inventory and restock shelves as needed to support daily operations
- Follow all pharmacy regulations, company policies, and quality control standards
- Accurately document activities and ensure patient confidentiality under HIPAA standards
- Support team collaboration and contribute to a positive, productive work environment
Pharmacy Technician Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
- Valid Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Massachusetts
- 1+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel, and data entry systems)
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Preferred Qualifications
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Experience working in a specialty or retail pharmacy setting
- Knowledge of oncology, MS, hepatitis, HIV, rheumatology, dermatology, transplant, or GI medication
