Location: Falmouth, MA
Weekly Pay: Up to $2,361/week (gross, including stipend)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Travel Surgical Technologist (OR – General) for a 13-week contract assignment in Falmouth, MA. This role supports a variety of surgical procedures while maintaining a safe, sterile operating room environment in accordance with AORN standards.

Job Details

  • Position: Surgical Technologist – OR (General)

  • Assignment Type: Travel / Contract

  • Duration: 13 Weeks

  • Schedule: Day Shift | 40 hours/week

  • Shift Times (Rotating):

    • 7:15 AM – 3:45 PM

    • 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM

  • On-Call: Rotating weekdays, weekends, and holidays

  • Weekly Pay: Up to $2,361.20 (gross, including stipend)

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist surgeons and registered nurses during surgical procedures

  • Prepare and maintain a sterile operating room environment

  • Set up surgical instruments, equipment, sterile drapes, and supplies

  • Perform scrub technologist duties across multiple surgical services

  • Pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team during procedures

  • Assist with sponge, needle, and instrument counts

  • Handle surgical specimens according to established protocols

  • Assist with patient positioning, transport, and transfer to recovery

  • Support OR room turnover and restocking between cases

  • Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and AORN guidelines

  • Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and commitment to patient safety and privacy

Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

  • Graduate of an accredited civilian or military Surgical Technology program

  • National Surgical Technologist Certification (NBSTSA) required

    • Certification must be through an NCCA-accredited organization recognized by ACS and AST

  • Current BLS Certification required

  • Orthopedic experience strongly preferred
