Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a Pharmacy Technician position in a closed-door long-term care (LTC) facility. The role involves preparing medications using blister packs and unit-dose packaging to ensure timely delivery to residents. The technician will assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking medications, monitoring storage conditions and expiration dates to maintain compliance and safety. Accurate patient and medication record-keeping is essential.

The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, with rotating weekend shifts. This is a contract-to-hire position with an expected assignment length of 13+ weeks, starting as soon as possible. The facility utilizes the Frameworks software system, and training is available for candidates new to this platform. The pharmacy handles a volume of approximately 600 prescriptions per day, requiring technicians who are efficient and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active and clear Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license (required)
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification preferred
  • Previous pharmacy technician experience, preferably in a high-volume setting
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for record-keeping and medication management
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work rotating weekend shifts

  • Quincy, MA (with the position based in a nearby LTC facility)
