A reputable long-term care facility is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Foxborough, MA. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume pharmacy environment, ensuring accurate and timely medication delivery to residents in a closed-door setting.
Responsibilities include preparing medications in appropriate packaging such as blister packs and unit-dose to facilitate timely delivery. The technician will also assist in ordering, receiving, and stocking medications while monitoring storage conditions and expiration dates to maintain compliance and safety. Accurate maintenance of patient and medication records is essential to support optimal pharmacy operations.
Schedule and Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 3:30 pm 12:00 am
- Rotating weekends
Required Qualifications:
- Active and clear Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification preferred
- Proven pharmacy experience, preferably in a high-volume setting
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure to manage approximately 600 prescriptions daily
