Repair Technician

7am- 3:30pm
Job Description:
The Repair Technician is responsible for performing product repairs, ensuring all items are restored to proper working condition, and maintaining accurate documentation throughout the process. This role involves following established procedures, handling small components, and collaborating with team members to support efficient workflow and timely product turnaround.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive daily repair assignments and review provided instructions or documentation.
- Gather necessary tools and replacement parts required to complete repairs.
- Diagnose, repair, and test products to confirm functionality and quality standards are met.
- Prepare completed items for shipment by transferring them to the designated packing area.
- Monitor spare parts inventory and notify appropriate personnel when restocking is needed.
- Organize and pull approved items for upcoming repair work, ensuring all required paperwork is included.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow safety and quality procedures.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support team objectives.
Level of Responsibility:
- Works under general supervision with established guidelines and procedures.
- Limited decision-making authority and minimal impact on broader operational decisions.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of electronics and production environments.
- Ability to perform minor data entry using internal systems and email applications.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for handling small parts.
- Ability to follow written instructions and standard repair processes accurately.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or electronics training preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience performing product repairs or related work.
- Prior hands-on or on-the-job training in a repair or production setting beneficial.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Physical Demands:
- Frequent use of hands for handling small components.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a workstation.
- Minimal physical exertion required.
Mental and Visual Demands:
- Routine, repetitive work performed with consistent focus and precision.
- Requires close visual attention for detailed tasks and small parts inspection.
- Periods of extended visual concentration may occur.
Work Environment and Hazards:
- May experience minor exposure to heat, dust, or other common manufacturing elements.
- Occasional exposure to low-level hazards requiring basic safety awareness.
