Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT)– Lancaster, NH

Job Summary

The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) is an integral member of the healthcare team, demonstrating clinical knowledge, technical skill, and professionalism when interacting with patients and colleagues. This role provides age-appropriate respiratory care to a diverse patient population while adhering to established standards of practice and organizational policies, including AARC guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, effective respiratory care to patients across all age groups
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures
  • Operate and manage ventilatory and oxygen delivery equipment
  • Maintain compliance with professional standards and departmental policies
  • Work independently while collaborating within an interdisciplinary team
  • Participate in patient transport as required

  • Mechanical ventilators (Dräger)
  • Transport ventilator (Zoll)
  • BiPAP (V60)
  • High-flow oxygen therapy (Vapotherm)
  • Arterial blood gas analyzer (GEM)
  • Electronic Medical Record system (Meditech)

Qualifications

Education & Licensure

  • Graduate of an approved/accredited Respiratory Care program
  • Active New Hampshire respiratory care license required

Certifications

  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (current or eligible)
  • NBRC credential
  • PALS (required or obtainable within six months)
  • NRP (required or obtainable within six months)

Experience & Skills

  • New graduates welcome; training available
  • Minimum of 2 years acute care hospital experience required
  • Critical access or rural hospital experience preferred
  • Must be clinically independent
  • Experience providing care to all age groups required
  • Knowledge of evidence-based respiratory care practices
  • Participation in continuing education encouraged
