We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Nursing Home Laundry Aide to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The Laundry Aide is responsible for collecting, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and residents’ personal clothing in a clean and sanitary manner. This position ensures that all laundry is handled according to infection control policies and resident preferences. The Laundry Aide works closely with nursing and housekeeping staff to maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.
Key Duties:
- Operate commercial washers and dryers
- Sort and treat soiled laundry
- Fold and distribute linens and clothing
- Label and return residents’ personal items
- Follow safety and infection control procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Laundry Services: Assist with laundry duties, including washing, folding, and delivering linens, towels, and resident clothing.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and report cleaning supplies, equipment, and linen stock to ensure adequate inventory levels.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed according to safety and infection control standards, and report any safety concerns or issues to management immediately.
- Resident Interaction: Maintain a respectful and compassionate approach when working around residents, ensuring their comfort and privacy at all times.
- Adherence to Schedules: Follow assigned cleaning schedules, ensuring all tasks are completed within designated times.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other nursing home staff, including nurses, maintenance, and administration, to ensure a positive and efficient working environment.

Requirements
To be considered for the position of Nursing Home Housekeeper, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial work, or healthcare environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Ability to follow cleaning and safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude toward residents.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for long periods.
- Ideal candidates are bilingual in English and Spanish and/or Portuguese.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time positions available.
- May require working weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Some positions may require physical labor, including lifting and moving items.
- Paid training is provided before starting job.
- Day and Evening positions available.

- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Must provide updated medical physical, TB test, and must be up to date on COVID-19 vaccines.
- Background Check: Successful completion of a background check in accordance with facility policies.
