Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide Extended School Year (ESY) services at a specialized high school program in Ludlow, MA. This role supports the Compass High Program, dedicated to students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. The program emphasizes personalized education aimed at building independence skills outside of traditional settings.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech-language therapy services tailored to high school students individual needs.
- Providing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) support; experience in AAC services is required, though formal AAC evaluations are not necessary.
- Collaborating with educational staff to support student progress in a personalized and supportive environment.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress notes consistent with state guidelines.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist, meeting all state-mandated requirements.
- Experience working with high school-aged students, preferably in settings serving individuals with ASD or similar learning differences.
- Familiarity with AAC devices and strategies in a school environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Position details:
- Location: Ludlow, MA (assignment at Ludlow High School, with clients main office in West Springfield)
- Duration: July 6, 2026 August 7, 2026 (potential for continued placement during the 2026/2027 school year)
- Hours: 15-20 hours per week across 2-3 days
