Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A skilled Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings is needed to support students across elementary grades. This contract position is based in Newport, VT, and focuses on delivering specialized OT services within an elementary school caseload. The ideal candidate will have a strong background working with children in early childhood through elementary levels and be adept at addressing the developmental and functional needs of students in a school environment.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience providing occupational therapy services in school settings
- Expertise in managing elementary school caseloads
- Familiarity with early childhood and middle school-aged students is beneficial
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized OT intervention plans
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Licensed Occupational Therapist credential preferred or required as per state regulations

Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and continuous assessments of students occupational therapy needs
- Develop and execute individualized therapy plans that support educational goals
- Work closely with teachers and families to monitor progress and modify interventions
- Participate in meetings and support compliance with educational and therapeutic regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely reporting of therapy sessions
