Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A long-term care pharmacy in Foxborough, Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Interim Pharmacist-in-Charge for a 13-week contract with strong potential to convert to permanent, starting ASAP. This is a hands-on leadership role supporting pharmacy operations, compliance, and staff performance.
Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day pharmacy operations including dispensing, verification, and patient care
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations
Maintain accurate records for prescriptions, inventory, and controlled substances
Supervise, mentor, and support pharmacists and technicians
Conduct staff evaluations and provide ongoing training and feedback
Partner with inventory leadership to optimize stock levels and reduce waste
Address provider and customer concerns with professionalism and urgency
Drive quality improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies
Perform audits to ensure regulatory readiness and patient safety
Utilize the Frameworks pharmacy system to manage workflow
Requirements
Active Pharmacist license required
24 years of long-term care pharmacy experience required
Prior pharmacy management or PIC experience required
Strong operational, compliance, and leadership skills
Experience with Frameworks required
Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and rotating weekends
