Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool position requiring Epic proficiency and a NH or compact state license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in a Med/Surg and Telemetry float pool within a hospital setting
- Primary assignment is a 6-bed observation unit with possible floating to other Med/Surg units
- Care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, respiratory, post-STEMI cath, and stroke diagnoses
- Typical patient ratio is 1:5
- 12-hour day shifts (7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.) with every other weekend required
- Uses Epic EMR for documentation and Pyxis for medication management
- Must pass a closed-book proctored telemetry exam on arrival requiring rhythm interpretation skills
- Duties include providing patient care post-dialysis and CAPD performed by a trained RN
- Support services available include pharmacy, phlebotomy, physical therapy, radiology, rapid response teams, respiratory services, and social services
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Travelers living within 50 miles of the facility will be accepted at the local rate
- Communication follows the SBAR format
- Drug screen must be completed within 14 days of start date
- Required to wear hospital-approved scrubs

- Active NH or compact RN license
- Minimum of 2 years Med/Surg telemetry experience required
- Certifications required: BLS and ACLS (AHA or Red Cross accepted)
- Epic charting experience is required
- Charge RN experience preferred
- Telemetry skills including interpretation of sinus rhythms, arrhythmias, blocks, and paced rhythms
- References required for consideration
- Travelers who have previously been employed by any facility associated with SolutionHealth are not eligible
