Responsible for the translation of customer prints to create a compliant part, including verifying specifications, maintaining product process by using sound machining principles, programming, policies and controls. Will conduct specialized manufacturing engineering assignments to obtain the most consistent components/products and at the most economical manufacturing costs for manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing process optimization, along with a strong knowledge of CNC machine setup and operation to guide production in the successful completion of quality parts for our customers. A collaborative and can-do attitude is key to this role, as a key problem solver working alongside Production, Quality and Engineering teams.

Essential Functions:

• Optimize, standardize and document machine setup processes to maximize efficiencies.
• Interface with Production, Quality, and Secondary Operations to resolve manufacturing problems or issues.
• Assist with the development of manufacturing processes for new products, product changes and enhancements.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of CNC machining, product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
• Train and guide less experienced Production Set-Up and Machine Operator personnel.

Skills / Competencies:

• High level CNC Setup and Operation experience
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Ability to evaluate and offer improvements to manufacturing processes, tooling and materials associated with new and legacy products
