Adecco is partnering with a manufacturing facility in Billerica, MA to bring on a Manuel Machinist/Tool Room professional on 1st shift. This is a direct hire position!
Position: Manuel Machinist/Tool Room
Hours: 6:30am – 3:00pm Monday – Friday
Pay: $26-$32 an hour Depending on relatable experience
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Manual Machinist/Tool Room Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience working in a tool room environment, operating and setting up manual machining equipment. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a precision-driven environment where craftsmanship and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, grinders, and other tool room equipment to fabricate precision components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate machining.
- Perform precision measuring and quality inspections using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and comparators.
- Modify, repair, or fabricate custom tooling and fixtures to support production needs.
- Work with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and refine components for improved performance.
- Maintain tight tolerances and ensure all machined parts meet quality and efficiency standards.
- Follow ISO procedures and company safety guidelines to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in manual machining and tool room operations.
- Proficiency in operating manual lathes, mills, surface grinders, and drill presses.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T specifications.
- Strong understanding of metal properties, cutting speeds, and tooling selection.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments and quality control procedures.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay Details: $26.00 to $32.00 per hour
