Masis Professional Group is assisting our client in Norwood searching for Direct Hire, Maintenance Mechanics.
These are 3rd shift (10:00pm-6:30am), direct hire opportunities.
The Maintenance Mechanic will report to the Maintenance Shift Supervisor and Maintenance Manager.
The Maintenance Mechanic will perform equipment PMs, troubleshoot and repair of electro-mechanical equipment such as electronic controls, conveyor systems, production machines and support equipment while teaching/explaining how to troubleshoot equipment and read schematics. As a key member of the Maintenance Department, the Maintenance Mechanic will have the opportunity to take on the roles and responsibilities of an industrial Maintenance Supervisor while contributing to a dynamic and growing organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnosing of mechanical or electrical issues using manuals, drawings, and schematics.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment.
- Identify broken or worn components in machines.
- Perform stick, MIG and TIG welding.
- Utilize a lathe, Bridgeport, or drill press to complete certain tasks.
- Adhere to all established safety rules and regulations and utilize required safety equipment.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
- Collaborate with and direct level 1&2 mechanics to accomplish shift objectives and projects as directed.
- Other duties as assigned
Experience and Educational Requirements:
- Valid US Driver's License required
- Knowledge of the proper use of hand and power tools required
- Familiarity with cGMP/GMP.
- Must possess solid interpersonal skills.
- Must possess good time management and organizational skills including the ability to multi-task, work well in a team setting with other technicians and trades professionals.
Physical Requirements:
· Able to stand for prolonged periods of time
· Regularly required to talk and hear
· Must have good vision and manual dexterity
· Exposure to approx. 85 decibel sound while on plant floor (appropriate ear protection will be provided)
· Required availability to work weekends and overtime as necessary to complete projects and installs. Exposure to cold temperatures while on the production floor and in other parts of the building
· Company provided Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) must be worn while on the production floor.
