An opportunity is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist to support students in a K-12 school setting located in Brockton, MA. This full-time, onsite position spans multiple locations within the district and is designed to continue from late October 2024 to August 2025, focusing on a manageable caseload of nine students during a maternity leave contract.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in Massachusetts
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
- Minimum of three years of experience working with school-aged children
- Strong ability to develop individual education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with staff and parents
Location:
- Brockton, MA (with assignments across multiple schools within the district)
Responsibilities:
- Assess, develop, and implement individual therapy plans for students based on their unique needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive support
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and advocate for student needs
