Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 20-bed mixed medical and surgical Intensive Care Unit
\n• Variable patient ratios based on acuity: ECMO 2:1, post open heart surgery 1:1, Critical ICU/devices patients 1:1, typical ICU assignment 1:2, stepdown assignment 1:3-4
\n• Work every third weekend with no call responsibilities
\n• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 8-10 RNs, 1-3 LNAs, and sitter PRN
\n• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 8-10 RNs, 1-3 LNAs, and sitter PRN
\n• Work with advanced equipment including IV pumps, telemetry monitors, hoyer/stand lifts, Impella, IABP, CRRT (nxstage), bladder scanner, Bair hugger, rapid transfuser, Blanketrol, chest tubes, vein finder, Sorin retransfuser, ventilators, high flow nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP
\n• Use Sunrise EMR system
\n• Assist with procedures including pericardialcentesis with drains, thoracentesis, central line insertion, arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion, intubation, TEE cardioversion, TTE, and transvenous pacing wire insertion
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
\n• Must have telemetry experience and ideally PCU or greater experience
\n• Preferred experience with critical drips, ventilators, and prior ICU experience
\n• Must be organized but easily adaptable
\n• May float to Progressive Care unit
\n• Scrub color/attire: N/A
