The RN overseeing Clinical Systems ensures the integrity, effectiveness, and compliance of BAMSI’s electronic health records (EHR) and monitoring practices. What You'll Do:

Electronic Health Record (EHR) Implementation, Training & Oversight – In Collaboration with the Field and BAMSI’s IT Department

  • Collaborate with IT, eHana, and other technology partners to lead implementation, continuous optimization and system upgrades of EHR systems. Align system functionality with clinical workflows.
  • Lead partnership with Genoa Pharmacy to identify and implement system improvements.
  • Design curriculum and train staff on clinical documentation standards and system functionality.
  • Monitor accuracy, completeness, and compliance of clinical data. Ensure clinical systems support best practices in care and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT, vendors and program leadership to resolve system-related issues.


Quality Monitoring & Compliance – In Collaboration with the Field and BAMSI’s QI Department

  • In collaboration with field and department leaders, develop and maintain healthcare policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Assist in implementing evidence-based practices to address quality issues.


Review Medication Occurrence Reports (MOR) and medication errors; identify route causes and make suggestions for systemic improvements.

  • Identify trends and gaps in clinical reporting; recommend and implement improvements
  • Coordinate quality assurance efforts aligned with state regulations and organizational values.
  • Support incident review processes and risk mitigation strategies
  • Support preparation for external audits and accreditation surveys.
  • Review decedent records and adverse incidents in a timely manner and provide recommendations for improvement.


System Inspection & Medical Supplies – In Collaboration with the Field and BAMSI’s Facility Department

  • Work collaboratively with healthcare vendors to ensure medical systems in day and residential programs are inspected according to manufacturers’ guidance. This includes by is not limited to: mechanical lifts, AEDs, and coordinating annual VRNS evaluations.
  • Reduce medical supply waste and improve cost efficiencies through bulk ordering and coordination.


Employee Wellness

  • Coordinate vaccination programs.
  • Promote infection control and outbreak response in the workplace, including PPE usage, and isolation protocols.
  • Collect and report outbreak data as required.
  • Participate in Safety Committee and insurance meetings; review data and collaborate with other BAMSI Departments and partners to develop risk-reduction practices.
  • Partner with Human Resource to develop employee wellness programs.

What You Bring:

  • Required: Active RN license in MA, driver's license, and reliable car.
  • Experience: Providing medical care and oversight in a community-based setting.
  • Skills: Clear communication, excellent computer skills, and teamwork.
