We’re looking for a detail‑oriented, dependable Sterile Processing Technician (Instrument Processing Technician) to support our high‑performing surgical team. In this role, you’ll ensure every instrument and tray meets the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and readiness—directly contributing to exceptional patient care.
Position Overview
As a Sterile Processing Technician, you’ll be responsible for the decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment. You’ll play a key role in keeping our surgery center running smoothly and safely, while maintaining compliance with all infection control and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean, decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize instruments and trays following established protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation for sterilization cycles, biological tests, and equipment maintenance
- Inspect and function‑test all instruments to ensure optimal performance
- Work closely with surgical and nursing teams to anticipate and meet daily instrumentation needs
- Monitor sterile supply inventory and assist with restocking or reordering
- Adhere to all infection control, safety, and compliance regulations
Qualifications
Certification required (one of the following):
- CRCST – Certified Registered Central Service Technician (HSPA)
- CSPDT – Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CBSPD)
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a surgical or sterile processing setting
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organization, and team‑focused mindset
- Ability to succeed in a fast‑paced clinical environment
