The Telemedicine Post Acute Physician delivers remote healthcare services to patients in skilled nursing and post-acute care facilities, aiming to minimize unnecessary hospital admissions through round-the-clock availability. Candidates must hold board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, possess hospitalist experience, and have multiple state licenses to practice telemedicine across various jurisdictions. This full-time role offers flexible scheduling, particularly focusing on evening, overnight, and weekend shifts, with comprehensive training in electronic medical records (EMR) and telehealth technologies.

Collaboration with Local Teams:
- Join a supportive group of 50 physicians.
- We embrace the complexities of patients in post-acute care settings, such as nursing homes, requiring enhanced physician engagement through telemedicine, especially during evenings, nights, and 24/7 on weekends and holidays.
- Our providers are distributed nationwide and can work remotely while addressing the needs of patients in post-acute facilities, thereby reducing unnecessary emergency room visits and hospitalizations.
- Training on technology protocols, workflows, and EMR systems will be provided.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO, board-certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, with a minimum of 3 years of hospitalist experience (additional experience in Post-Acute/SNF is a plus).
- Experience in telemedicine is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, along with a willingness to learn.
- Minimum Compact/IMLCC and 3+ state licenses – preference will be given to candidates with a higher number of state licenses and the Compact.
- Required licensure in several of the following states: CA, CT, FL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, NV, PA, NC, SC, VA.
Scheduling Details:
- This is a full-time position (120 hours per month).
- Shifts will include evening, overnight, and weekend hours (approximately 35% of your monthly hours will be overnight from 11 PM to 11 AM).
- We provide a flexible schedule that is shared in advance, allowing you to plan your other commitments effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle cross-cover calls for Post Acute facilities, Skilled Nursing Facilities, and Long-Term Care during overnight shifts and on weekends and holidays.
- Engage in monthly team meetings to review practice updates and changes.
- Receive thorough training on technology protocols, workflows, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation: Based on 120 hours per month, with an annual salary range of $136,000 to $165,000.
