Provide specialized nursing care in a cardiac stepdown unit that focuses on post-procedure patients requiring advanced cardiac monitoring and support. This position offers a dynamic environment caring for those recovering from TAVR, cardiac catheterizations, ablations, and other critical cardiac interventions. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage care for patients post-TAVR, pacemakers, ablations, and STEMI, providing cardiac drip administration and close telemetry monitoring.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including charge nurses, patient care technicians, and monitor techs.
- Utilize Allscripts for efficient patient documentation.
- Maintain adherence to unit-specific policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care.
- Participate in a scheduling system requiring every other weekend availability.
- Float to similar units as needed, enhancing flexibility and broadening clinical experience.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active RN license with expertise in telemetry and cardiac stepdown nursing.
- Experience caring for patients with cardiac implantable devices (e.g., Watchman, pacemakers).
- Proficient in managing post-intervention cardiac patients including those after TAVR and cardiac catheterization.
- Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Familiarity with Allscripts electronic health records.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented cardiac care environment.
