Job Purpose:

The Quality Control Coordinator oversees all Material Review Board (MRB) operations and works closely with quality, manufacturing, engineering and procurement teams to facilitate review, disposition and timely closure of Quality Notifications (QNs). Maintains compliance with company standards to resolve material issues, document defects, track rework or scrap decisions for nonconforming materials or products. Provides status updates to supervisors or management when needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains accurate inventory control of non-conforming materials, including verifying inventory transfers and cycle counts.
  • Processes non-conforming material documentation, and accurate transfers of material within the SAP ERP system.
  • Coordinates with project teams regarding the return, rework, and/or replacement of non-conforming materials.
  • Holds weekly Material Review Board meetings, coordinating the disposition of non-conforming materials, including return to stock, rework, scrap, and return to vendor.
  • Prepares weekly reports to provide visibility on MRB status and movement.
  • Properly maintains the multiple MRB locations throughout the facility.
  • Supports containment activities within the facility when a non-conformance is identified.
  • Trains and mentors associates in the processing of non-conforming materials.
  • Keeps the MRB areas clean, safe, and organized at all times.

Education, Work Experience, Skills and Competencies Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a MRB, quality or related manufacturing role associated with Medical, Semiconductor, defense, or other high-tech electro-mechanical equipment.
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science or quality management is preferred.
  • Experience working with various MES, ERP and PLM systems, such as Factory Logix, SAP and Agile.
  • Working knowledge of international standards such as ISO 9001:2015 or ISO 13485:2016 a plus.

Qualifications

  • Experience overseeing Material Review Board (MRB) investigations and dispositions.
  • Knowledge of warehousing and material handling procedures preferred.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications required.

Location Alert: We're moving from Peabody, MA to Salem, NH by late 2025/early 2026, so transportation to both locations is necessary
