Test Technician - RF Systems

Contract Position

$31.80/Hour

Responsibilities:

• Perform testing, tuning, and troubleshooting of mid-to-high complexity RF microwave hybrid assemblies using manual and automated test equipment.
• Conduct environmental testing, including temperature, vibration, and mechanical shock assessments.
• Utilize specialized RF test equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, and oscilloscopes.
• Analyze and interpret RF microwave test data, ensuring compliance with performance specifications and acceptance test procedures.
• Work with engineering teams (RF, Manufacturing, and Quality) to develop test procedures, troubleshoot products, and resolve issues.
• Use a microscope and precision hand tools (e.g., torque drivers, tweezers) for detailed tuning and troubleshooting.
• Retrieve and interpret test procedures, assembly drawings, and schematics using computer-based tools.
• Operate computer-driven mechanical vibration equipment for system validation.
• Maintain compliance with ESD and FOD-controlled environment standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma required (Bachelor’s degree not required).
• Experience: Prior experience in testing, tuning, and troubleshooting RF microwave hybrid assemblies.
• Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with RF test equipment (signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, power meters, network analyzers).
  • Ability to write test procedures and troubleshoot issues using schematics.
  • Experience with computer-driven test systems and data analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with ESD and FOD-controlled environments.
