Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment and trucks. This role requires the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on our modern fleet of heavy equipment including Cat/John Deere (excavators, loaders, skid steers, bull dozers), Mack/Peterbilt (dump trucks, tractors) and Ford (tool trucks) etc.
- Perform routine maintenance on the fleet, ensuring optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on equipment.
Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in heavy equipment operation.
- Proficiency and using hand tools, power tools.
- Welding experience a plus.
- Familiarity with electrical systems in heavy machinery.
