Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Registered Nurse with Med/Surg experience and telemetry skills to support a busy 32-bed Ortho/Neuro Med/Surg unit in Massachusetts. The unit admits scheduled elective orthopedic, neuro/surgical patients, fractures, and medical overflow. Strong telemetry competency and the ability to interpret tele strips are essential in providing high-quality patient care on this private unit.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience in Med/Surg with neuro assessment skills
- Proficient in telemetry monitoring and interpreting tele strips
- Current Massachusetts RN license and BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Experience with EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems
- Ability to float to applicable units as needed
- Demonstrated skill in managing patient assignments with ratios of 1:4 to 1:6 depending on shift
Schedule/Hours:
- Night shift (no rotation)
- Every other weekend schedule
- 36 hours per week
This role requires flexibility to float and cover different shifts occasionally. The night shift nurse-to-patient ratio ranges from 1:5 to 1:6, emphasizing autonomy and strong clinical judgment when managing patient care. The facility uses EPIC for all charting and documentation.
