We are seeking a Head Varsity Boys Soccer Coach to lead our High School Program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coaching, sports education, and working with student-athletes. This role involves developing players' skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive sporting environment. Previous experience in sports coaching is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct soccer practices and training sessions tailored to various skill levels
- Teach fundamental soccer techniques, rules, and strategies to players
- Foster a supportive and motivating environment to enhance player development
- Monitor player behavior and implement effective behavior management strategies
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities
- Organize and oversee game day activities, including team warm-ups and game strategies
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to create an engaging program
- Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive attitude among participants
Requirements
- Prior experience in sports coaching
- Knowledge of soccer rules, techniques, and safety standards
- Experience working with children or students in a sports or educational setting
- Skills in behavior management to maintain discipline during practices and games
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with student-athletes and coaches
- Ability to motivate young athletes and foster a positive team environment
- CPR Certification is desirable
