As a Field Service Engineer, your primary responsibility will involve the servicing of medical equipment in hospitals and healthcare systems. This position is based in Boston, MA, and will primarily focus on the Northeast regions. Your objective will be to exceed the expectations set forth by service agreements and warranty obligations while delivering exemplary customer service and ensuring effective communication.

You will develop expertise in electro-mechanical systems through specialized training, and it is imperative that you possess strong customer service and communication skills. In this capacity, you will collaborate closely with customers to provide technical support and to resolve any issues that may arise. Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of field service experience
  • Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent training/experience
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems
  • Experience in the medical device industry or other highly regulated fields
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated ability to drive customer satisfaction and improve work processes
  • This position may require traveling, including up to 60% overnight stays
  • Must be able to travel on short notice and be available for air travel when necessary
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and the ability to operate a vehicle
  • Availability to work weekends and after-hours as needed to support customer and business requirements
  • Ability to regularly lift, move, slide, raise, and/or place items weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Capability to stand, walk for extended periods, sit, squat, kneel, ascend and descend stairs, and reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
