The position of Tech Bar Technician – End User Computing performs troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of end user computing equipment and peripheral equipment at a tech bar corporate location. This position requires a high degree of white-glove, customer interaction.
The candidate works on assignments of a diverse scope where analysis of data and hardware requires evaluation of identifiable factors. The candidate exercises judgment with supervision within the generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions and acts as a liaison between customers, departments, and within the organization to lead problem resolution.
Essential duties for the position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide onsite support or dispatch of support specialists as necessary to provide Authorized Users with operational and technical support and to meet specified Service Levels.
- Tech Express Desk: Walk-up technical support for laptop users in key markets with high concentrations of offices / employees
- Coordinate its activities with the Service Desk and provide Level 2 Support to the Service Desk and/or Authorized Users as necessary.
- Resolve Incidents and Problems associated with EUC Equipment like Desktops, Laptops & Mobile devices at the techbar
- Coordinate efforts with Third-Party service and maintenance providers as necessary to keep EUC Equipment in good working order by raising tickets with Vendors and following up.
- Perform troubleshooting to effectively identify potential Incidents or Problems and attempt to eliminate them before they occur at the techbar.
- Identify the scope of an Incident or a Problem and provide operational and technical assistance to remedy the Incident or Problem at the techbar.
- When Authorized Users are connected (or attempting to connect) to the Client’s network, coordinate activities at the Techbar only to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Assist with access to LAN, print, and file services.
- Assist with connection to Client’s WAN.
- Assist with managing hot spares and spare parts inventory.
*JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
- Requires 3+ years of related work experience
- Sound knowledge of imaging tools (Ghost, MDT)
- Sound knowledge of data backup and recovery tools (USMT)
- Installing, upgrading, and migrating to Windows 7/10
- Deploying Windows10 in large enterprises
- Configuring hardware and applications
- Configuring network connectivity
- Configuring access to resources
- Configuring mobile computing
- Monitoring and maintaining systems that run Windows 7/10
- Configuring backup and recovery options
